A man travels the world over in search of what he needs, and returns home to find it.
Albert Einstein
Bear in mind that the wonderful things you learn in your schools are the work of many generations. All this is put in your hands as your inheritance in order that you may receive it, honor it, add to it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children.
Lee Iacocca

No matter what you’ve done for yourself or for humanity, if you can’t look back on having given love and attention to your own family, what have you really accomplished?
Richard Bach
The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each others life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.
Audrey Hepburn Quotes
My Fair Lady: Audrey Hepburn
- I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.
- Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.
- People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.
- Success is like reaching an important birthday and finding you’re exactly the same.
- I never think of myself as an icon. What is in other people’s minds is not in my mind. I just do my thing.
- Pick the day. Enjoy it — to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come… The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present — and I don’t want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.
- Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering — because you can’t take it all in at once.
- For attractive lips,
Speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes,
Seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure,
Share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair,
Let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise,
Walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things,
Have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed,
And redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,
You will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
One for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

Discipline: Jim Rohn
Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
There is no such thing as a “self-made” man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.
- George Matthew Adam
Correction does much, but encouragement does more.
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you. Love me and I maybe forced to love you.
- William Arthur Ward
Of all the feats of skill, the most difficult is that of being honest.
- Marie de Beausac
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Holiday’s!
Poems-riddles-jokes-quotes addition
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks
This day is a day to reflect,
On the passing year with family and friends,
Be in our hearts or near to share our thoughts.
When Spring flowers have come and gone,
Halloween pumpkins slowly disappear,
the leaves have all fallen to the ground,
As the air has turned windy and cold,
Snow starts to fall upon the ground,
Smell of baked goods and cooking all around,
Then Thanksgiving is very near,
Time to reflect hold the thoughts of
loved ones all feasting together,
Those that are far but we hold dear to heart,
With grand images of present, future, past times
and thoughts etched upon our hearts,
Then Thanksgiving is finally here!
The house has delicious aromas,
The dining room looks oh, so elegant and divine,
Decorations all around,
As we gather and bow our heads,
offering reasons why we are thankful for
the year that has pasted and the year yet to come,
Next we place our napkins on our laps;
Now the prayer for the meal to be blessed,
As we indulge in such a feast before us
And we hope to see many more.
For this is the time of year to give extra thanks
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone
